Andrew Gardner is a prime example of a quality independent. [Owner] Tim Guy’s dedication, energy and enthusiasm are unparalleled.
The entire operation is focused around the customer, from easy parking outside the store, to the impeccably merchandised wall of windows and the consistently warm welcome and fresh coffee.
Guy and his team are realistic about their customers’ needs in terms of service and product and go the extra mile to make the sale without being pushy.
There are no overt references to brands, just great quality product offering well-priced luxury and individuality for the 30- to 60-something guy.
To me, all these elements combine to create the true essence of indie retail, and it’s breathing fresh life into a long-established and respected business.
